Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in the electrical trade, strong analytical abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in cost estimating.

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
Analyze project drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Utilize computerized estimating software and apply labour rates and factors to develop detailed proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates reflect project requirements.
Provide cost breakdowns, risk assessments, and value engineering recommendations.

Key Attributes & Qualifications

Formation/ Expérience/ Certification

Licensed Electrician with hands-on field experience (preferred).
Gold Seal Accreditation or eligibility considered a strong asset.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical estimating for commercial, institutional, or industrial projects.
Proficiency with computerized estimating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of application of estimating labour units and industry best practices.
Technical knowledge of low voltage systems such as, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Nurse Call, Public Address, Intrusion Alarm, Low Voltage Networked Lighting Control, Communications etc.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients, vendors, and team members.
